Brain Building for Achievement: BOOK Summary

The Author Herbert N. Casson has beautifully described the ways to build a brain for achievement. The book covers the importance of spare time, purpose, unique talent, action brain, and side effects of fear.

Spare time: Recreation Time
The author expresses his view on the importance of recreating spare time to become a spectator or creator. the man who takes life as a whole creates a good time all his life. An idle person just keeps walking with his memory and experience and his brain is shut down the factory.
Idle and undeveloped minds love to waste spare time. As long as you keep this attitude, you are never going to discover the power of your brain.
By the age of thirty, a man becomes competent or Robot. The active learner becomes brain- maker by using spare time. If you value spare time, that helps you to create your brain and enriches it.
You learn from your personal experience. But if you don't read books, you are deprived of knowledge. The reading book is education. So, Don't kill your time for amazement. Recreate your time and brain as well.

Purpose in life
This gives you direction. Wishes are like seeds. But seeds need to plant and for the fruitful results, the purpose should be very strong. Perseverance and will power is a great combination to achieve success.

"Seeds are of no value until they are planted, and wishes are of no value until a man shapes a strong purpose in his mind to get what he wants."

Strong Point

Every individual is unique and has strong and week points. Working on your strong point helps you to shape your brain and enable you to achieve success. Being original, it is important to maintain a relationship with people so that you can learn to serve, share, and care.

Learning and teaching
Both are major parts of the molding brain. We know the importance of learning but teaching is equally important too. The teaching process stimulates the brain and shapes it. Whatever we teach to others retain in the brain for a longer time. This is one of the best ways to learn more and helps in the brain making.

Create an action brain
Perceiving knowledge to create your brain. Quality of knowledge matters. Knowing more doesn't matter, have a knowledge that makes your brain to take action. The author has explained about the kinds of man who are not action minded: The apathetic mind, The timid man, The weak engined man, The complacent man, The non- executive man, The academic Man.
So, focus on creating an action brain and don't turn the memory into the warehouse of useless ideas.

Fear is a killer
All of us have a fear of one or other things that stop us to grow. Fear weakness and disable you to take action. Gradually your brain accepts that fear as it is real and you get stuck. Like this, many people build a fearful brain. Fear is a small factor of your growth but it's in your hand how small or big you make it. This will impact the quality of your brain.

Traveling
This adds value to life as the brain observes the surrounding which forms the perspective towards life. This triggers the thinking process and we start appreciating what we have in our life. Traveling teaches us a lot about the culture, system, history, geography of a particular place. This helps to enhance our knowledge.

Art of recuperation

When the body wants to rest, give that break to rejuvenate and vitalize the brain. Sound sleep relaxes and boosts brain activity.
If you commit mistakes, don't punish yourself whereas learning from it would make you stronger. Recuperate after failure as fast as you can. This exercise of recuperation helps you to create a brain that would be ready for all sorts of challenges in life.

Keep spirit High
The most important is to keep the spirit high. Start observing and living your life. We all are aging, so learning every day and in touch with children keeps you young and your brain healthy.

A book of 80 pages explains all these facts in detail and the importance and how to build the brain for success.

Rhythm of Persistence

We are always excited to start something new. We make  PLANS,   STRATEGIES ,   INVEST TIME,   ACTION  .............................................. But, What about  PERSISTENCE??? In the beginning, you are charged to kick start what you have planned but later on, you lose PERSISTENCE as you encounter challenges and problems. You are frantic by the challenges that make you lose pace and go out of track. Later on, you come up with silly excuses find the way to exit smartly without any rational thinking. This breaks the rhythm of persistence Eventually, you end up nowhere and not being persistent becomes part of your behavior where you always fail to maintain the rhythm. "Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; There is nothing more common than talented but unsuccessful men. Wisdom will not; wisdom without reward is almost as conventional as a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated bums. Persistence and determination are omni

Why to explore yourself

Why is discovering yourself so important?   Life is full of experiments and actions take us where we are today. Knowing ourselves takes you to another level that we have never imagined. Finding our inner core is meaningful and magnificent. My soul always vibrates to explore myself. It has become my passion to discover myself to live a satisfied, happy, and peaceful life. Now I feel we don’t know actually what and who we are but continuous exploration lands us a different version of ourselves. This journey evolves us and form new perspectives on life. It gives new dimensions to our life where there is no end. When my soul vibrates, I listen and try to find out what’s inside me trying to come out as my new version. There is something that resonates inside me. What should I name, but yes maybe “My Exploring Power” would be the best word to name it.  Many people want something but they don’t know what they want.
